Terms of Service

Last updated July 20, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of shovelbase (the "Service"), including the console, CLI, client SDKs, and hosted project infrastructure. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

shovelbase provides backend infrastructure for software projects — authentication, a Postgres database, file storage, HTTP APIs, serverless functions, static hosting, job queues, and related tooling. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time, and we'll try to give notice of changes that materially affect existing projects.

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee any specific level of uptime, availability, or performance, and we offer no service-level agreement (SLA) or associated credits.

Usage limits, quotas, and included features are provided as-is, may differ from any figures described, and are subject to change at any time. They are not guaranteed and should not be relied upon as fixed commitments.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including actions taken through the CLI or API using your keys. Tell us right away at support@raliworks.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the data, code, and content you store in your projects ("Customer Data"). You're solely responsible for it — for having the rights to store and process it, and for complying with any law that applies to it (including data protection law, if you handle personal data belonging to your own users).

We access Customer Data only to operate, secure, and support the Service, or as required by law.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, distribute malware, send unsolicited bulk communications, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' projects. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

6. Fees

shovelbase is currently in early access, available by invitation only. During this development period, access is provided free of charge. Pricing has not been finalized and is subject to change; we may introduce paid plans, and any pricing, plan structure, or free allowances described at any time may change with reasonable notice.

Paid plans, if any, are billed as described at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your projects at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, non-payment, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, project data may be deleted after a reasonable grace period.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, shovelbase won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue, arising from use of the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
